Executive, Programming Operations

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Management, planning and coordination of key sports properties assigned. These include the following daily tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring contractual obligations are implemented and hence an intimate knowledge of contract and acquisitions reports is required. 

 

  • Liaise and work with various groups like internal ESS depts., ESS' regional offices and Rights' holders /Suppliers on all Programme logistics and operations issues such as:
    1. Securing Programme/event details, Satellite Parameters (feed/access origins, details, unilateral feeds etc), Commercial / break formats, Programme rundowns, scripts, team lists / line-up, turnarounds, tape delivery schedules and other related logistics etc.
    2. Updating event / programme details in IBMS scheduling system like site information, fixtures, rounds etc
    3.  Provide broadcast schedules, commercial affidavit reports/ratings to Suppliers / Rights Holders where contractually required. Also create New Business Forms for client supplied units to be booked by Traffic/ Order Entry/ Ad sales/ Finance
    4. Update via emails on changes to time/dates/matchups to internal & external groups directly impacted or affected by the changes i.e. Production, Promos, Satellite Ops, Library, Ad Sales.
    5. Miscellaneous trouble shooting on non delivery of content, non compliance on agreed terms / policies, contingency plans for ‘live' events etc.

 

  • Working on scheduling plans for assigned properties 2 months prior to schedules release. Ideally, discuss and come to a consensus with scheduling on the planned airing strategies for the regions. Provide confirmed details to Production, Ad Sales, Promo for their own planning and resource allocation. Any issues to be discussed at production meeting.

 

  • Request ahead from Suppliers / Rights Holders relevant materials that Production, Promos, News, MMV, Marketing can use like footage, produced / approved trailers, logos, brand / logo guides, broadcasters manuals, official download site access etc

 

  • Keep abreast of developments and issues relating to assigned properties. As and when relevant, inform Acquisitions, Scheduling and where necessary Ad Sales and Production (dependent on information)

MIS Analyst, Applications Support


 

Basic Job Function

Assist the MIS Manager in project implementations and the delivery of support services to all internal customers for all authorized business applications.

 

 

Take part in new application software implementation or upgrades project according to the role assigned by the MIS management.

Develop and build the solution according to the solution specification.

Act as 1st level support for application problems encountered by user day to day and to escalate these problems to external parties if required. 

Assist in document and testing of patches/fixes/enhancement and conduct user training if necessary.

Create ad sales packages for all regional markets and maintain consistency of information between markets. Liaise between sales offices and internal departments including Operations, Programming, Production, marketing, Finance to generate appropriate regional packages for sale in all markets. Promotion Scheduling Executive

Execute all Promo Scheduling and Strategic Promo Placement duties. Any unsold commercial inventory and all affiliate avails must also be scheduled with promos. Ensure that promo priority guidelines are strictly adhered to. Appropriate rotations and specific placement requirements must be executed according to promo instructions and scheduling guidelines. Media Content Co-ordinator

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a list of programs for transmission to ensure that all tapes gets to TX and are accounted for. To collect and catalog these tapes once their tx run is over so that programs get to air according to daily schedules.

Prepare and maintain a list of programs that need to be recorded either during "Live" transmission or to be recorded for later transmission or for Production use so as to ensure that the programs are recorded as required.

For programs which are not coming in to ESS via feed, to liaise with program suppliers/distributors to ensure timely delivery of such program tapes.

Ensure that correctly prepared tapes are on hand for all these programs to be recorded.

Co-ordinate with Programming, Production, SATOPS and HK office to ensure that scheduled programs get to air and all requirements met.

Respond to users requests and queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Recycling of tapes no longer in use so as to maximize utlisation of existing stock and reduce cost of purchasing additional stock.
