PRE MATCH

Hello and welcome to our coverage on day one of the third and final Test between India and Sri Lanka at the PSS, Colombo. My colleague, Rajarshi Gupta and I, Ranabir Majumdar will take you through the day's proceedings.

The series is squared at 1-1 and this Test should turn out to be a great contest. I can't remember the last time a Test series in Sri Lanka turned out to be such a thriller.

The pitch is a bat first wicket. There is a hint of moisture on the top, but it will turn as the match progresses.
