Friendly: NY Red Bulls 2-6 Barcelona
Samuel Eto'o scored twice as Barcelona eased to a 6-2 victory of MLS side New York Red Bulls at Giants Stadium.
Xavi headed home Daniel Alves' cross to open the scoring after 17 minutes before Eto'o, who also scored twice during Sunday's win over Mexico's Chivas in Chicago, doubled the advantage a minute later, with Spanish midfielder Xavi turning provider for the Cameroon international.
Rafael Marquez added a third before Seth Stammler struck for New York 14 minutes before the break.
Eto'o, whose future with the Spanish side has been subject to much speculation this summer, regained Barcelona's three goal cushion 13 minutes later as he beat two defenders following a pass from Alexander Hleb.
Jorge Rojas converted from close range on the hour mark to again pull New York within two, but Jeffren Suarez and Pedro struck to complete the scoring and seal the win for Barcelona in the second game of their United States tour.
