Fujishima two shots clear

Toyokazu Fujishima fired a bogey-free first round seven-under-par 64 at the Fujisankei Classic on Thursday.

His spectacular performance has allowed him to open up a two-stroke lead over Azuma Yano and Dong-Hwan Lee.

At the Fujizakura Country Club, 27-year-old Fujishima picked up four birdies on the front nine before carding three more on the way home to top the first round leaderboard.

Yano and Lee also played bogey-free opening rounds to sit a stroke clear of Naoya Takemoto and Taichi Teshima, who signed for opening-round four-under 67s which included just one bogey each.

Defending champion Hideto Tanihara, former winners Shingo Katayama and Frankie Minoza and Kazuhiro Yamashita are all tied for sixth at three under par.
